Role overview:
This role is for a unique opportunity for an ambitious, proactive, researcher to work in the sexual health space. As a research technician, you will be responsible for developing and running the tests needed to develop sexual health products. Your work will involve running and maintaining models of sexual intercourse, and optimising the chemical composition of the developed products. Your primary responsibility will be to plan out and manage the timely running of experiments and act as a support toof our research scientists. You will collaborate closely with and be trained by the company’s scientific team to produce data needed for product launch.

Polari Labs’s story:
Anna and Henry met in April 2023 when both of them joined Entrepreneur First, a start-up accelerator that selects exceptional individuals to build their next company.

About you:
You are ambitious, proactive and take on hard challenges head on.
You are passionate about changing the status quo and bringing a revolutionary sexual health and wellness product to the market.
You live and breathe good lab practices.
Have displayed exceptional organisation skills especially in relation to data filing.
Happy to adapt to and move between different scientific areas.
Background in either bioengineering or chemistry is desired.
Must be excellent at molar calculations.
You have excellent presentation, communication and people skills.
Your responsibilities:
Set up of new protocols
Conducting experimental research in models of the rectum
Chemical optimisation of the product
Maintain lab systems (ordering, preparing stocks)
Maintaining and producing health and safety documentation needed for lab work.
General lab management.
Collaborate and build relationships with our medical and scientific partners.
Expert in data analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in bioengineering, microbiology, chemistry or a related field
Lab experience in microbiology, biomedical engineering or chemistry is crucial.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
